A student who wishes to appeal an academic suspension or dismissal may do so by writing a letter of appeal to the VPAWE in accordance with procedures and deadlines outlined in the letter sent to each suspended and dismissed student informing them of their status. Appeal letters received by the required deadline are reviewed by the Academic Standards Committee. In some cases, students may be asked to appear before the committee, which will render a decision on the appeal based on the information provided by the student and department chair. Decisions of the Academic Standards Committee are final.
