Course Description
IST256C - Enterprise Networking Security and Automation In this course, students learn how to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality. Topics of discussion will include but won’t be limited to: Single-Area Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv2) concepts and configuration, networking security concepts (such as Access Control Lists -ACLs and Network Address Translation – NAT) and Wide Area Network (WAN) concepts. Towards the end of the course students will learn about Quality of Service (QOS) and how Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are used. The course will end by focusing around network design, management and troubleshooting. Network virtualization and automation will then be introduced. A grade of C or higher must be achieved in CCNA C2 to be enrolled into this course.
