Course Description
BIOL260C - Cell Biology Cell Biology is a course for biology majors focusing on eukaryotic cells. General topics include the structure and function of principal cellular components, energy metabolism, signal transduction, apoptosis, the cell cycle, gene expression, and an introduction to cancer biology. Laboratory experiments include modern cell research techniques such as ELISA, gel electrophoresis, and animal cell culture. (Prerequisites: BIOL 112C General Biology II or BIOL 196C Anatomy & Physiology II or equivalents with grades of "C" or higher, or permission of the Department Head of Natural Sciences)
