Course Description
BIOL215C - Freshwater Ecology This course enhances students' understanding of ecology, and introduces them to the biological, chemical, and physical properties of lakes, streams, and wetlands as they relate to the structure and function of freshwater ecosystems. Students will gain an understanding of freshwater environmental concerns and experience in water quality assessment. The course will also cover topics in sustainability, management, and rehabilitation of natural aquatic environments in relation to human impact. (Prerequisite: BIOL 111C or BIOL 112C or BIOL 115C with a grade of “C” or higher)
