Course Description
PEM244C - Advanced Cardiology This comprehensive course includes the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and treatment of cardiovascular emergencies. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) is an integral part of the course. (Prerequisites: all fall PEM courses; co-requisites: PEM 126C, PEM 135C, and PEM 162C) Any failure in PEM 126C, PEM 135C or PEM 244C will trigger a failure in PEM 162C (even if a passing grade in PEM 162C has been achieved).
